Traditionally jiu-jitsu has been practiced in the Kimono also known as the GI. We use rash guards combined with spats on our no-GI days. Although not required to start we encourage grabbing a pair once you become a student to make your experience enjoyable. Sportswear with no zippers are perfect to start, but tend to rip. We recommend compression style sportswear and board shorts.

We recommend you communicate any physical limitations or concerns with your training partners & instructors. That way, we continue to have a safe training environment.
